Is Your Hair Care Regime Making You Stressed?

Did you know that the wrong type of hair care or hairdo may be the cause of you feeling stressed out? Advertisers use the fact that most of us deal with raised stress levels at least once a day in their campaigns and many successful brands make their profit from exploring and exploiting this theme to design and sell their products.

Beauticians and hair care specialists know that certain haircuts are simply not right for people with skin problems. Skin problems can ruin your self-esteem which, in reponse to that, may cause stress. Bangs for example can cause a great deal of trouble. You would not think so but hair that is in touch with the skin constantly can cause a great deal of distress and skin trouble. If bangs are on the skin of the forehead and the hair is being stiled or treated with beauty products, the problem may be even worse. Skin iritation, red spots, itchy spots or a rash may be the result of a haircut with bangs. Think about it the next time your hairdresser suggests a new cut. You may end up suffocating your skin.

It is also said that stress can affect the condition of your hair. If the body has to deal with raised stress lvels a lot the hair may end up looking g dull and uncared for resulting in a feeling of ' looking bad' due to which your feeling of self worth is lowered. A vicious circle is created.

Have a bath and relax at least once a week, care for your hair and your self with one of the relaxation cd's that are now on the market. Switch the phone and the TV off for a few hours and enjoy the time set aside simply for caring for yourself.
