Thinning of Hair - Straight Road to Baldness?

Every day, you will loose hair from your head, but for those suffering from thinning hair, a few lost hairs are not the issue. Thinning hair is a discouraging, and depressing, condition, which sends many searching for hair thinning treatment to gain back their missing locks.
They spend thousands each year on thinning hair products, vitamins for thinning hair, and more, to try to avoid the humiliation thinning hair causes. Do these thinning hair treatments work, or are they simply a waste of your hard earned money?

Symptoms of Thinning Hair

Thinning hair is not simply a few lost pieces of hair after your shower. Truly thinning hair is significant loss of hair that is visible on the head. This means that you can see places on your head that have less hair than they used to. It is a serious condition that causes emotional trauma, particularly when thinning hair in women is seen.

Reasons for Thinning Hair

One of the most common thinning hair causes is aging coupled with hereditary. If your family has a history of thinning hair, you will find the problem comes to you as you age. Another common cause of hair loss and thinning of the hair is from hormones. Androgenetic alopecia is condition where hormones make the hair follicles shrink, causing hair to fall out and not grow back. Occasionally there are things you can do to cause your hair to fall out, but most of the time this condition cannot be prevented. It can be controlled, though with the proper care.

One of the most common preventable causes for thinning hair is diet. If your body does not have the right nutrients from your diet, it will starve the scalp of vital nutrients, and feed more important parts of your body, such as your cardio vascular system. This causes hair growth to stop, and if the condition continues, hair will eventually fall out. Cutting out too much protein, or a lack of zinc and iron in your diet, are common culprits.
