Permanent Wave A permanent wave is popularly known as perm .Perming refers to a chemical treatment given to hair for producing curls. In cosmetology , it refers to a kind of curl reformation. Many people with straight hair marvel curly hair . As a result attempts have been made to make the straight hair curly for thousand of years. Ancient Egyptains have siad to have attempted perming. They used wooden sticks for perming the hair. The perming processis done by two ways .They include physically wrapping the hair and chemical treatment . With the help of the rod , the hair can be wrapped around and curled . There are two kinds of rods . They are striaght and concave rods. They produce different curling effects. Similarly the wraping method and positioning of end papers also affect the curling effect. The chemical solution is used according to the hair type of the client .
