Layered Hair Layered hair refers to a kind of hair style that is designed to give lengthy and voluminous look. It also keeps the hair closer to the head and makes it easily manageable. Basically in this kind of cut, hair is arranged into various layers. The top layer is cut shorter than the layers at the bottom. As a result the tips of the top layer blend well with the layers in the bottom. But of late clear distinctions are made between the layers so that they do not blend with each other. At times, hair colors are applied to some layers and other layers are left without any coloring to create a particular effect. Layered cut is also done by lifting the hair upright of the head and cutting it straight across.
