French Braid French braid or French plait refers to a popular hairstyle. Instead of a three -strand braid, a french braid begins with small sections at the topmost part (crown) of a person's head. From time to time, some more hair is added to every section with the progress of the braid down the head. A single braid at the back of a person's head is the classic French braid. Variations on this hairstyle also include side braids and twists. Generally medium to long hair is perfect for french braiding. A ponytail holder, elastic hair scrunchie, hair spray and bobby pins may be helpful while French braiding, But they are only optional. The method involves gathering the hair and holding as a ponytail at the top of the head. It should be divided into three parts. Once one section of a traditional English braid is completed. Gradually add more hair to increase the complexity of the braid. Similarly gather all the hair into a plait by simply adding extra hair and another English braiding step. more terms explained here |
