Blonde Hair Blonde is popularly called as blond. It refers to a hair color that is found in several mammals that have dark pigment eumelanin and higher levels of the pale pigment phaemelanin. Shades of blonds range from light brown to pale blond. The proper blonds are said to have thinner strands of hair. But the red hair has the thickest strands. This kind of hair is generally found in human beings and some breeds of dog and cats and other mammalian species. Lighter hair colors can be seen in human beings of all ethnicities. But it can be hardly noticed among various people. This kind of hair is common among certain European population. There are lots of chances for the occurrence of blonde hair. It will continue throughout adulthood. There are lots of misconceptions that the blond hair is a European trait.
